Privacy Policy
Last updated: 13 March 2026
Abundance is developed by Ethan Weston and Steve Edwards ("Abundance", "we", "us", or "our").
This Privacy Policy explains how the Abundance mobile application (the "App") handles information when you use it.
Abundance is designed to prioritise privacy. The App does not collect personal data about you and does not track your activity.
1. Data Collection
Abundance does not collect personal data from users.
We do not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal information through external servers.
We do not use:
- analytics tools
- advertising networks
- tracking technologies
- third-party data collection SDKs
As a result, the App Store listing for Abundance displays "Data Not Collected."
2. Information You Enter Into the App
The App allows you to enter financial planning information such as:
- income sources
- budget categories
- spending items
- bill due dates
- financial goals
- debts
- notes related to those items
This information is stored locally on your device.
We do not have access to this data.
You remain solely responsible for the accuracy, protection, and management of any information you enter.
3. Local Storage
Budget data created in the App is stored locally on your device using secure device storage mechanisms.
This allows the App to function without requiring a backend account or remote database.
4. iCloud Sync
If enabled on your device, the App may use Apple’s iCloud services to synchronise your data across your Apple devices.
When iCloud sync is used:
- your data is stored in your personal iCloud account
- Apple manages the encryption and security of this data
- we do not have access to your iCloud data
Your use of iCloud is subject to Apple’s Terms and Privacy Policy.
5. Sign in with Apple
The App uses Sign in with Apple for authentication.
When you sign in:
- Apple may provide a user identifier and basic profile information (such as your name or email address)
- this information is handled according to Apple’s privacy policies
Abundance does not maintain external user accounts or databases.
6. Notifications
The App may send local notifications on your device, such as reminders related to payday or budgeting tasks.
These notifications are generated locally by the App and are not sent from external servers.
7. Data Export and Import
The App may allow you to export or import your budgeting data using files stored on your device.
These files are created and managed by you and may contain financial information you entered into the App.
You are responsible for handling exported files securely.
8. Third-Party Services
Abundance relies on certain Apple platform services, including:
- Sign in with Apple
- iCloud
- App Store purchase processing
- local notification services
These services are operated by Apple and are governed by Apple’s own terms and privacy policies.
We do not share your data with third-party companies.
9. Children’s Privacy
The App is not intended for children under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
10. Data Security
Because Abundance does not collect or store user data on external servers, most information remains under your control on your device or in your iCloud account.
You are responsible for securing your device and maintaining backups where appropriate.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
When changes occur, the updated version will be published with a revised "Last updated" date.
